Laxmi Intercontinental, the sole authorized distributor in Nepal launched the ALL-NEW SANTRO on 14th of February. The new Santro was launched to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the partnership between Hyundai Motor Company and Laxmi Intercontinental.The event was organized at Hotel Soaltee with the presence of South Korean Ambassador and the Hyundai Head of Sales for the Asia Pacific and other dignitaries.[gallery size="full" columns="5" ids="7543,7544,7545,7551,7547"]The all-new Santro ensures superior headroom and shoulder room, practical ergonomics, high seating position, good all-around visibility, and a spacious and airy cabin feel.Below is a break-up of all the variants and their respective prices.

[gallery size="full" ids="7526,7528,7530"]In-Line with Hyundai’s tall boy design concept, the front of the new Santro is defined by Hyundai’s signature Cascade Grille with chrome surround, uniquely positioned fog lamps, bold bonnet character lines with Hyundai logo, swept-back headlamps, and a micro antenna.  From the sides, the sculpted body form is characterized by Z-shaped character lines and at the rear, the new Santro gets dual tone bumper with reflectors to accentuate a premium appeal.[gallery size="full" ids="7511,7515,7514,7516,7512"]Inside the cabin, the new Santro provides a higher seating position, superior all-around visibility, and superior headroom and shoulder room. The new Santro’s dual tone beige and black interiors with champagne gold inserts is tailored to suit the customer needs. The propeller design based Front AC Vents, Rear AC Vents, and superior thigh support enhance the comfort of the passengers inside the car.[gallery size="full" ids="7523,7522,7519,7520,7521"]To target new-gen customers, the new Hyundai Santro comes with a segment first 17.64 cm touch screen infotainment system with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. In addition, the system also supports voice recognition system and first-in-segment rear parking camera display. Furthermore, the hatchback also gets Eco Coating Technology (that prevents unpleasant smell to develop in the AC evaporator), Rear Defogger along with Rear Wiper and Washer, ORVM, IRVM, USB port, and 12V power outlet.
In the Nepalese market, the new Hyundai Santro is available only in a single engine configuration; a 1.1-litre four-cylinder petrol unit that makes 68 bhp of power and 99Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. There is also an optional AMT transmission on offer.
[gallery size="full" ids="7539,7537"]Built on the principle of Hyundai ‘Safe Drive Philosophy’, the new Santro boasts several active and passive safety features. Built on the company’s K1 platform, the car gets a strong body structure (63% Advanced High Strength Steel + High Strength Steel) resulting in a prominent static and dynamic stiffness. Safety features include ABS with EBD (Standard), Dual Front Airbags, Impact sensing Auto Door Unlock, Speed-sensing Auto Door lock, Rear Parking Sensors and Seat Belt Pretensioner with Load Limiter.[gallery size="full" ids="7542,7529,7527"]The hatchback measures 3610mm in length, 1645mm in width and 1560mm in height. Ground clearance stands at 160mm and wheelbase is 2400mm. Depending on the variant, the new Santro comes with 13 and 14-inch tyres. The lower trims offer a set of smaller 155/80 R13 tyres with steel rims. The top trims, on the other hand, come with larger 165/70 R14 tyres again with steel rims. In terms of boot space, the new Santro offers 265 litres. It comes with a fuel tank capacity of 35 litres.[gallery size="full" ids="7533,7517,7513"]The new Santro will be available in an array of 7 exterior colours including 2 new colours - Imperial Beige and Diana Green. It comes with two interior colour options Premium Beige with Champagne Gold inserts and Sporty All Black Interiors with Diana Green colour inserts based on exterior colours.
